Project Management Institute (PMI)

Project Management Institute is a nonprofit professional organization. It is the largest association dedicated to the project management in the world. PMI was founded in 1969 and it has over half million members and credential holders in 185 countries. The President and CEO of the Project Management Institute is Mark A. Langley. PMI provide many kinds of services to the Project Management profession, e.g. the development of standards, teaching, publication, networking-occasions in local divisions, study, hosting conferences and training seminars and preserving various credentials in project management. PMI world-recognized credentials and universal standards have helped establish the Institute as the leading authority in project management, helping it grown into the worldwide organization it is today. During last 25 years, PMI has contributed project management forms and produced standards that are internationally well known.
